About us
After academic research conducted since 2003 at the University of Uberaba, in 2007 the Ondatec Industrial Microwave Technology Ltd. was founded in this city by Professor Ricardo Naufel de Toledo. The company has developed unique know-how in microwave technology for industrial applications over the years, in different temperature ranges (heating and pyrolysis), executing projects for various industries. In 2009, the company began to operate in the treatment of various wastes with microwaves (sludge from water treatment plans, contaminated waste, etc.).
In 2011, a partnership was established among Petrobras, UFU (Federal University of Uberlândia), and CAPES to develop the technology for treating drilling cuttings (rock fragments mixed with synthetic fluid, resulting from well drilling). Later, in 2013, Alliance Ambiental made investments and completed the development of the MCC – Microwaves Cuttings Cleaner, installing the engineering prototype at its base in Itaboraí/RJ and using MCC for its operations in the oil and gas industry.
In 2022, the company changed its name to WavenTech., with a strategic focus on steelmaking charcoal and green energy (patent requested for this application in 2023). The company has a team of experts with different competencies, such as engineering (electrical, mechanical, and automation & control), chemistry (carbonization and fuels), and software (mathematical modeling and programming).
