Bio-Oil

Bio-Oil

Tar

Tar (bio-oil itself) has good calorific power (PCS above 6,000 kcal/kg), and can be used as a “green” fuel for a turbine, producing energy for the ECPU’s themselves and also selling the surplus to the grid.

There is still the possibility of using bio-oil on other applications, such as:

Chemical industry: replacement of fossil phenols, food essences, surfactants

Oil refinery, for applications aimed at reducing greenhouse gases

Chemical binder

Applications for bio-oil: power generation, oil refinery and chemical industry
Bio-Oil

Pyroligneous acid

Produced together with water in the liquid phase, this dark substance contains acetic acid, methanol, oils and tar, having several applications:

Fertilizer production

Pesticide production

Applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries

Applications for pyroligneous acid: fertilizers, pesticides and chemical/pharmaceutical industries
